Six Sigma Certificate Program
Achieve
ASQ Certification
This 20-day certificate program was specifically designed to prepare participants
for writing the ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Exam. The program includes practical
workshops, improvement projects, simplified handouts, sample of typical
questions and excellent reference materials to ensure readiness for success.
Benefits

Participants will receive the full set of Six Sigma tools from a highly
qualified trainer and will be able to implement an improvement project
at their work place as well. Participants will be able to use the projects
as reference with the application for Six Sigma Black Belts. Companies
will be able to conduct meaningful improvement projects with proper facilitation
and proven Six Sigma tools.
The
Instructor
Patrick Terrel, P.Eng., is ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He was
an internal consultant Black Belt and a Master Black Belt trainer for
the "Excellence" initiative at Northern Telecom. He completed
numerous projects requiring Black Belt skills and will be able to sign
affidavit of projects completed towards six sigma certifications.
Hands-On
Training
A modular approach makes it easy to learn and implement each topic in
a logical sequence. Participants will receive the full set of six sigma
tools and be able to practice skills learned by leading an improvement
project at work.
Handouts
and Materials Provided
Course notes will be provided for each module in order to simplify understanding,
reduce the need for notes taking, and ensure complete reference. A copy
of "Implementing Six Sigma by Forrest W. Breyfogle" will be
provided and referenced to. This book is a key reference for the ASQ exam.
Minitab
Software
Participants will learn to use Minitab software for analysis. Although
not directly required for Six Sigma certification, this software is widely
used for analysis in Six Sigma projects.
Who
Should Attend
People who wish to become Certified Six Sigma Black Belts from all functions
in the organization. Ability to implement improvement projects and to
utilize basic statistical tools will be required for certification.
Schedule
The program includes 20 full days for Black Belts and 5 days for Green
Belts. Due to different needs of the participants we are planning to develop
a schedule with input from the participants. Options considered are as
follow:
- Saturdays (excluding holiday weekends)
- Weekdays
- Saturdays and Weekdays combination
